Shawn was born at 5:00 AM on July 20, 1977 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward,
Ca. Mom had some trouble with the birth and he was an emergency c-section. The doctors even cut his cheek when
making the incision to get him out. He has a scar on his cheek from that. He weighed 8lbs and 11 oz I believe
and I think was 20 inches. I'm going off of my memory. My mom stayed in the hospital for several days with him.
She became real sick, while he was very healthy. They released them and my mom had a fever still. They went back
to my grandparent's house where mom grew more sick. She couldnt' even move. They rushed her back to the hospital
where she had an infection and almost died. The Dr wasn't suppost to release her with a fever and he was terminated
from the hospital because of that. In later years, we always joked with Shawn about how he almost killed mom.
Shawn has a ton of baby pictures! Way more than my sister and I! He even has a baby book with his 1st haircut
and such. Chrissy and I never got one. But that's ok. 2 years later, in 1979, I came. And it
seems Shawn was ok with me. After a year, I ended up sharing a room with him. I also heard Shawn use to pee under
my crib! I remember one time when I was maybe 3 or 4, I think Chrissy was born, and Shawn and I were sharing his room
and we had bunk beds. I think I got Shawn to let me sleep on the top bunk, when normally he did. And well, I fell
off. hitting my head on the dresser on the way down. And you know what he did...nothing! :)
We were mean to Chrissy. Shawn especially. I told everyone about
the sheet incident. And about locking her in places she couldn't get out of. And how she got us back by throwing
the porcelain house at my head and the brass bank at Shawns giving him that scar. We use to watch the Nightmare on Elm
Street movies, and I would have Cayce over spending the night, and Shawn would go up to Chrissy, sticking up his fingers like
they were Freddy's razor fingers, one by one and real slow and go "chuck, chuck, chuck" with every single one. Chrissy
would run away terrified. And he managed to keep her scared with that for years. I still think it gives her goosebumps.
He wasn't as mean to me because I stood up for myself. We more so had verbal arguments. But we were never mad
long. There are so many stories that I will put up later. It's hard to even write this since now I have
to speak inthe past tense. But I just wanted to share a little about him growing up.
Before I forget, at the service I spoke about our car ride and how he started
singing the wonderer but put his words in. Well I forgot to add that he even titled it his own and it went like this,
"Cause I'm the Shawnster, I'm the Shawnster, I go around,n round,n round,n round, etc."
Shawn was raised from birth on up in Castro Valley. My parent's bought
the house they live in now in 1975 and have never left. That is Home to all of us whether we stay there or not.
Shawn started kindergarten at Laurel School down the street from our parent's home, then it closed and he went to 1-6th grade
at Strobridge school. He went to Canyon Middle school which he didn't like. Then he was put into Shady Grove private
school where he went from 9-11th grade. Then he went to CV High.

SHAWN'S SUCCESS'S
Shawn bowled two 300 games which he was so proud of. His 1st
was Nov. 18, 1996. And the 2nd was January 3, 2006. Just 9 days before his 2nd daughter was born. He was
a great bowler, one of the best in my eyes. And he always will be.
